What We Collect

  • Account details from Google sign-in: your email address, name and avatar URL.
  • Aquarium records you create: tank names, volumes, water type and notes.
  • Water parameter readings and their timestamps.
  • Maintenance tasks, due dates, repeat intervals and completion times.
  • Species you list for a tank (common name, optional scientific name and quantity), used only to generate recommended parameter ranges.
  • Plants you list for a tank (common name, optional scientific name and quantity), used only to generate fertiliser recommendations.

Finventory does not collect payment details or location data.

How We Use It

Your data is used only to operate the app: to authenticate you, show your tanks, and display your parameter history and task schedule. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Where It Is Stored

Records are stored in a managed cloud database with encryption in transit and at rest. Database access rules restrict every row to the account that created it, so no other user can read your logs.

Third Parties

Google processes your sign-in and shares your basic profile with us. Our hosting and database provider processes data on our behalf. When you request parameter recommendations or fertiliser guidance, the species and plant lists, water type and tank volume for that tank are sent to our AI provider; no account identifiers, email address or reading history are included, and the request is not used to train models. No other third party receives your aquarium data.

Retention And Your Rights

Data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual readings, tasks and tanks in the app at any time. If your account is deleted, all associated tanks, readings and tasks are removed automatically. You may request a copy or full erasure of your data by contacting us.
